Tzavorite is one of the most popular and precious varieties of garnet, first discovered in Tanzania in 1967 although named after Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. Today, Tzavourite Garnet continues to be mined in both Kenya and Tanzania, with smaller deposits found in other parts of the world such as Madagascar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.  Despite its relative rarity, Tzavourite Garnet has become increasingly popular in the gemstone market due to its unique green colour and durability, making it an ideal choice for exquisite fine jewellery pieces as shown in our ring below.
